Meet the Person Behind Lighter Home
Lighter Home was founded by a Gainesville professional who spent more than a decade working at the director level in corporate marketing. She managed teams, systems and competing priorities with the kind of discipline and attention to detail that doesn't stay in the office.
She also spent those years trying to run a household at the same time. And she knows exactly what it costs when nobody has time to do it properly.
Why I Started Lighter Home
“I’ve spent my corporate career being very good at managing complexity professionally. I was organized and capable. I was also constantly overwhelmed. And my house was never under control.”
What was stressing me out wasn’t that the house was dirty. It was that I always felt slightly behind. The laundry was almost done. The dishwasher was always nearly full. The sheets needed to be changed, again. Everything was almost fine, but none of it was quite right, and my mental to-do list never ended.
I had a cleaner, so the floors were mopped and the bathrooms were scrubbed, but it wasn’t enough. I needed someone to run the house the way I would run it myself, if I had the time, the energy and four more hours in the day.
That's why I built Lighter Home. And it turns out a lot of Gainesville families need exactly the same thing.
